Human Resources Associate
Provides functional administrative support to the Human Resources Department for recruitment, onboarding, and other employment activities in support of the HR Managers, and employment life cycle related matters in general. Handles logistics of candidate interview processes for our Cheshire, CT site, including communicating directly with candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and other internal interviewers; scheduling candidate interviews; coordinating travel arrangements, etc. Also facilitates, schedules, and communicates with candidates regarding pre-employment processes, including background verifications, drug screens, physicals, and preparation for new hire orientations. Ensures adequate supplies of new hire orientation information packages. Collates and tracks incoming new hire enrollment documents, including healthcare, Life, AD&D, etc., and partners with the department's other HR Associate (Comp and Bens) to ensure new hire personal, employment, and benefits information is entered into Human Resource Information Systems (SAP) as required. As one of two primary data entry staff for HR databases and record keeping, processes paperwork and data entry related to employment life cycle management such as job and status changes, compensation and positions changes, terminations, etc. Serves as back-up to the HR Associate (Comp & Bens) during periods of the other's absence or as workload requires. Maintains HR-related filing systems, including requisitions, resumes, applicant flow, employment files, etc. Ensures stocking and availability of related HR forms and informational materials/brochures. Reviews and processes recruiting and other HR P.O. requests and invoices, including tracking and forwarding to appropriate signatories, A/P, etc. Maintains and updates Alexion organization charts as required. Performs ad-hoc requests as needed by line management and/or the HR team, including various data requests and other analysis. Assists with administration of various annual or otherwise scheduled HR processes such as performance management, salary and annual incentive management, promotion cycles, etc. Education Requirement: H.S. diploma plus 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination. Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner is required, as well as outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal, organization, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint is also required. Preferred demonstrated qualifications include experience in supporting an HR Department and recruiting efforts, HRIS (particularly SAP), excellent “customer service” orientation while interacting w/staff at all levels within the organization, and skills and ability to meet critical project deadlines. Preferred qualifications include previous experience supporting an HR department, excellent interpersonal/customer service skills, ability to meet critical project deadlines and interact with staff at all levels within the organization.
