Network Administration

Responsible for bringing Information Technology service availability and application delivery in line with  business requirements. Tasks include optimizing  servers, workstations, and network infrastructure devices to ensure IT resource synergy. Completing these tasks successfully will facilitate a creative and productive work environment, while also ensuring the secure protection of the company's intellectual property and other business-critical information. This job responsibility also entails troubleshooting and maintaining  technology resources, including employee workstations, company servers, networking equipment, telecommunications devices and infrastructure, and IT services such as email, security, remote access, etc.

 

Information Security

Prepare, plan, design, implement, operate and optimize a comprehensive strategy to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data and systems. Tools to develop include electronic computer and network equipment, but also human protocols and procedures that best leverage technology resources, complimenting them with a synergy that creates a more secure environment. Tasks include authoring and enforcing employee computer usage policies, training employees on their role in computer security –related issues, maintaining strong firewall policies, monitoring network usage and abnormalities to prevent and detect network intrusions.

 

III. Web Design

Design, code and maintain companies website. Includes all programming and graphic design functions, and content-shaping (editorial work), as well as all administrative functions such as registering domain names, updating zone files and DNS records, dealing with hosting company, and tracking statistics on site visitors.

 

IV. Help Desk Support

Primary objective here is to promote employee productivity by keeping downtime to a minimum. To that end, this responsibility entails troubleshooting and fixing any and all IT problems preventing employee work. The majority of these problems are software or hardware issues at employee workstations, but problems could be network related (connectivity problems) or security related (virus problems), etc.   

 

 

 Current Job Priorities

 

a)  Enterprise-wide network design with special attention to how infrastructure devices can be used to provide an integrated, layered security posture in a multi-site environment.

b)  IP Telephony deployment.

c)  Articulate and draft Data Center specifications, in compliance with current best-practices and industry-standard design requirements to meet business needs.

d) Build above Data Center

e)  Bring company website inline with latest web publishing standards (W3C).

f) Ongoing maintenance to servers and workstations.
