IT Principal Business Analyst for Marketing & Business Development Support REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors in MIS or Computer Science. Minimum of 5 - 7 years working experience in Information Technology. 5 - 7 years of proven Project Management skills. 5 7 years experience with full SDLC. 5 - 7 years experience in technical documentation writing (requirements / functional specifications). 3 5 years experience in Microsoft Project. 2 3 years experience working with databases and database extracts. Must be able to perform functional testing at the database and extract level (e.g., must understand how data is written to the database and subsequently extracted). Working experience in the pharmaceutical industry and validated environments a plus. Knowledge of Marketing concepts and tactics a plus. Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Strong interpersonal, verbal, writing, presentation and facilitation skills. Strong and demonstrated teamwork and collaborative experiences. Strong interpersonal, organizational and effective communication skills (oral and written). Must be results oriented, adaptable and self-starter with a can-do attitude. Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple business priorities and deliverables, concurrently. Ability to learn existing Marketing processes and applications in a short time and be able to provide baseline support for business clients. Technical proficiency in Windows XP and Office 2002. Experience with PL SQL is a plus. Familiarity with BEA Portal and WebLogic environments, WebTrends Reporting, web hosting infrastructures, and eBusiness concepts are a plus. Some travel may be required. Overtime is required as dictated by project / tasks needs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Learn the business of the PM Marketing, Business Development, and CHC groups. Partner with IT Management and Marketing business client community to identify and analyze business needs and provide recommendations for technology solutions. Manage all aspects of technology and application development projects of varying sizes in support of assigned clients. Assist with all aspects of web site support (web site maintenance, new web site builds, etc) for PM brand teams. Interface with and manage the external partner agencies of the Marketing group throughout internal IT projects. Ensure agencies are aware of BIPI standards and project methodologies, and ensure compliance and task completion. Understand the issues around corporate compliance, and how it affects Marketings projects and systems. Must keep abreast of current and new technologies and related concepts, including desktop environment, web applications, eBusiness concepts, and reporting arenas. Ability to learn existing Marketing processes and applications in a short time and be able to provide baseline support for business clients. Possess strong project management skills including project identification, planning and definition, requirements gathering, functional/use case documentation. Contribute towards the evaluation of new business solutions. Identify projects, lead feasibility studies, and define cost/benefit and economic justification of approved IT projects of all sizes. Convert the tactical and strategic business objectives of clients into actionable items, delivering results that enable the business to achieve their objectives. Analyze and assess business processes within support areas as they relate to existing or proposed systems and applications, and define/suggest improvements where appropriate. Responsible for the overall success of assigned projects including the design, development QC/testing and implementation phases. Communicate and provide updates to all team members, business sponsors, and IT Management. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project documentation as defined by our SDLC roadmap (RBA). Perform gap analyses based on current configuration/functionality versus new requirements. Responsible for providing educational support for implemented systems and business processes. Possess strong analytical skills to comprehend existing business processes and related IT standards, and be able to address their educational needs. Proactively identify new trends and technologies for possible application within the Marketing, Business Development, and CHC groups. Corporate Site
