IT Support Technician - Senior

Visit us at www.bio-rad.com Position Responsibilities Include: Support, installation and maintenance of computer systems at Hercules and Benecia facilities with the exception of systems that are part of the manufacturing equipment. Must be able to follow established procedures and work instructions. Works closely with internal users to ensure equipment is performing optimally. Education: 2 year degree AA/AS or trade/technical school certificate or equivalent.Experience: 3+ years experience troubleshooting hardware/software conflicts. Must have knowledge of Windows XP, Office 2003 Application Suite, Lotus Notes, some MAC and Windows 2003 Server. Facilitate the productive use of microcomputer technology in a business environment. Ability to perform in high pressure situations and work independently and as a team member. Ability to adjust to constant changing priorities. Skills: Aptitude for configuring, maintaining, diagnosis and troubleshooting of PC's. Maintains software update schedule. Must be able to write work instructions. Good oral and written communication skills. Must posses a valid driver's license and able to lift up to 30 pounds.
