Informatica Data Architect

Informatica Data Architect with broad experience managing the efforts to extract information out of legacy systems, transform/convert data and upload data into a single instance global ERP (Oracle Peoplesoft EnterpriseOne 8.11). The candidate would be responsible for developing the project plan and for execution of the plan. The Data Conversion Architect will be hands-on in a development role in the construction of tools and techniques, testing the data migration processes, resolving issues and leading the “Go-Live” cutover task. The candidate will also be responsible for leading the efforts of up to 3 ETL technical resources. Responsibilities: • Define/design the overall conversion tactics and strategy to migrate data into a single instance global ERP • Set standards for the use of data fields, data field definitions and data dictionary within ERP. • Work with analysts and if required, end users, to understand and document state of data and level of effort to migrate data. • Develop detailed ETL project plans, conversion/transformation specifications and data mappings based on requirements. Ensure efficient transform, extract, load of data sets, and be able to clearly interpret business requirement specifications into detailed conversion logic and mappings. • Design, develop, unit test, and implement conversion tools/utilities or routines including data quality validation processes and efforts results in re-usable assets. • Project Manage effort and provide periodic status reporting. • Work with Production Support Team (including DBAs), Enterprise Data Warehouse Team and Enterprise Data Integrity Team (Business Owners of Data) to resolve data issues or implement enhancements across applications. • Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring other team members. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field. • 3 years experience leading the data conversion effort into a single instance global ERP (Larger applications such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft or JDEdwards preferred) and must be able to accurately estimate the level of effort for varies components. • 3 years experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting conversion tools/utilities or routines including data quality validation processes and efforts result in re-usable assets/techniques. • 3 years experience working in a mixed operating system environment such as UNIX (HP-UX), AS400, Microsoft, etc. • Working knowledge of Oracle and ability to use SQL and tools/utilities such as Quest Toad • Ability to conduct user workshops, define requirements, write use- and business cases, and design workflow processes. • Experience in deploying EAI and SOA based architecture using WebSphere, TIBCO or BEA is a big plus • Experience using SQL-Server T-SQL or Oracle PL/SQL is a plus • Experience with a Business Process Mapping tool a plus. • Experience deploying a middleware solution is a plus. • Experience with, Informatica, Applaud, Cognos 8 or Cognos PowerPlay is a plus • PMP certification is a plus. • 6-Sigma training is a plus.
