Brief Description of Position:

The HMS Information Systems Programmer/Analyst is responsible for preparing and evaluating data from multiple sources for use in our advanced simulation models, while also drawing insights from the data to be presented to our customers and modelers.  The Programmer/Analyst will also be responsible for collaborating in the development of a suite of software tools to be used in the performance of their other duties. Programmer/Analysts will develop their expertise in the understanding of data and using statistical techniques to analyze data quality while gaining exposure to cutting-edge business modeling solutions.

 

Reports to: Lead Information Systems Analyst, Advanced Analytics

 

Required Qualifications:

·  Strong general technical ability, including proficiency in:

o SQL programming; Oracle preferred

o MS Access

o Perl (or Similar Scripting Language)

o Linux and/or Unix style OS

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Excellent analytical skills

·  Ability to work independently and within a team environment

·  Organizational abilities

·  Ability to work under tight deadlines

·  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Business Information Systems, or related field
