Inside Sales/Customer Service

American International Chemical, Inc. (AIC), an ISO certified sales and marketing company serving the chemical needs of the Food, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Industrial, and Advanced Technology markets since 1972, has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative.

 

This exciting position will expose the candidate to a variety of industries and product lines, providing a great career opportunity to advance one’s analytical and selling skills. As an Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative, you will have an established territory with current accounts that you will manage and grow. You will also be responsible for growing your territory through the utilization of ourdatabases, leads, and some cold calling. A team of Inside Sales Reps and Product Managers will provide the training needed to succeed.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent in terms of education, experience, and training (Chemistry or Biochemistry back ground preferred), and 1-3 years sales and/or customer service experience, preferably in a technical environment  Solid computer skills required in Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Word and Excel.  Knowledge of Act! and Adobe Acrobat a definite plus. Excellent interpersonal, mathematical, communication, analytical, and follow-up skills are necessary as well as the desire to provide superior customer service in a fast paced team environment.

 

Job Responsibilities include: Development and retention of current accounts, research and identify potential accounts, solicit new accounts, close and support product sales by issuing quotations and provide technical information. Receive customer orders and complete preliminary processing.  Provide supervision and management of orders until completion. Interact with purchasing and assist with procurement for order fulfillment. Maintain accurate sales activity records; analyzing and reporting on account activity and sales. Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
