We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic Java engineers to design, develop and maintain the various aspects of SciTegic’s Enterprise Server and Pipeline Pilot products. This opportunity offers tremendous learning and growth potential for the right candidates. We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate ability and skill working with Java Enterprise Edition application servers, enterprise web services, workflow technologies and network security such as LDAP and Single Sign-On standards.

 

Demonstrated Java development experience working with JDK 1.5 and later, significant experience on “enterprise” projects making practical use of JEE 1.4, Apache Struts, Struts 2, Spring Framework 2.0 and Tomcat 5.5 or higher is strongly preferred. In-depth experience with SOAP-based Web Services and relevant toolkits such as Axis, Axis2 or CXF is required. The ideal candidate will be familiar with development tools such as CVS, Mantis or Bugzilla. A B.S. in computer science, engineering or a scientific discipline is required. Experience in an “agile” project life cycle is an important attribute in this role. The qualified candidate will have experience with test-driven development.
