As member of an agile development team, the senior programmer analyst will have the opportunity to work closely with our business partners and demonstrate the execution of technical vision and strategy.  The candidate must be capable of providing insight into complex technologies and demonstrate passion towards bringing forth flexible and innovative ideas.  They will also research and recommend technology direction to meet anticipated business expectations as well as mentor and lead junior developers, define coding standards and best practices and participate in all aspects of the project life-cycle from requirements to delivery.Work with IT and Business management to evaluate complex user requests, projects, and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs.  Determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and system capabilities.Independently code new or modified computer programs into existing systems and test program effectiveness.  Evaluate error messages, modify codes and troubleshoot programming problems.  Work in a highly dynamic agile environment to provide technical leadership and strategic direction.Provide assistance to IT team members with issues needing technical expertise or systems and/or programming knowledge.  Provide on-the-job training for new or less experienced programmers. Mentor team to improve their understanding and skill.Understands overall IT strategic direction.Perform analysis of complex systems issues or changes.QUALIFICATIONSTechnical:4 - 6 years experience in applications programming Proficient in standard programming concepts (Object Oriented), procedures and practices Preferred knowledge of programming for the J2EE platform with Servlets, JMS/MQ, Swing Experience with leading edge technologies such as Hibernate and Spring Experience with integrated development environments and tools likes Eclipse, or IBM Rational Application Developer.
