Key Account Manager Work Location: American Health Packaging, Cols, OH (remote)Shifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Under the general direction of the Director, National Accounts promotes and sells American Health Packaging (AHP) products and services to existing and new customers in the health systems and alternate care market segments within a specific geographic area and/or account base. Primary responsibility would include, but not be limited to executing targeted sales strategies in order to increase product pull–through, increase contract compliance, increase distribution of products and establish relationships with key decision-makers. This position is “compliance critical” and responsibilities include ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate, and government regulatory requirements. It is the associate’s responsibility to observe all safety rules. Any condition thought to be hazardous or unsafe should be reported to your supervisor immediately. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Executes the implementation of programs within specific geographic area and/or account base to maximize pull-through and distribution of products while minimizing service level related issues. Promote and sell new products launches to support successful launch strategies. Promote and sell Regional GPO awards to maximize product penetration within accounts. Support product stocking initiatives to maximize distribution of products. Raise market awareness and deliver the sales message for AHP, our products and our services. Working knowledge of Regional GPO contracts and pharmacy buying practices. Develop personal and business relationships with key decision makers and buyers within accounts to ensure goals are reached, and to increase access or information when needed by AHP. Serve as a knowledge resource for the organization for the key accounts, developing methodologies, trends, emerging technologies and keep abreast of the latest developments in the marketplace. Coordinate, manage and respond to RFP’s (e.g. Health Systems) Communicate internally with AHP (operations, and product management) and ABDC sales organization to help alleviate any issues that occur and develop programs to take advantage of any opportunities that arise in the field. Work with Customer Service to have an understanding of the ordering process and our current Sales and Return Policies. Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet sales objectives. Must be willing to travel extensively within selected geographic territory and/or account base; travels to events such as conferences, trade events, sales meetings. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years experience directly related and progressively responsible in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, including one (1) year Account Manager sales experience in health systems. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Self motivated Strong presentation skills Proven track record of success Demonstrated professional and effective interpersonal skills Experience in healthcare administration or business preferred Experience dealing with Group Purchasing Organizations preferred Strong computer skills in order to operate with company systems and programs; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excell, Outlook, PowerPoint and JBA Knowledge of the marketplace required, i.e. GPO’s, IDN’s, LTC, Hospitals, etc Travel requirements greater than 50% Additional Information For all regular associates working 30 hours per week or more, we offer an excellent compensation and benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, employee stock purchase plan, STD, LTD, life insurance, EAP and tuition reimbursement.
