Yoh Scientific has a contract opportunity for a Lab Tech II, MANUFACTURING in West Point, PA.

Responsibilities: 
• Coordinates, performs reads, records and calculates results for the following tests/assays: tissue culture and egg safety, COI, Varicella/MMR potency, Rotarvirus potency through PCR determination, gram stain, mycoplasma, adventitious agents, ELISA, fluorescence microscopy, cell line maintenance.
• Evaluates microscopically or macroscopically the effect (cytopathogenic, plaque formation, agglutination, fluorescence) of test fluids in tissue culture and serological tests.
• Prepares viral or serological dilutions or viral/serum pools and inoculate material into supplements culture media were appropriate and incubates all test and stock cell cultures for appropriate time intervals.
• Examines cell cultures and culture media prior to use checking for microbial contamination, improper pH, cracked containers, etc and candles eggs prior to use by checking for correct venation and embryo response.

Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate should posses a Technical certificate, Associates degree or one year lab experience in chemistry, biology or a related science and experience in using semi-automated and/or fully automated liquid handling equipment and systems.
• Effective writing, oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are highly desirable.
