Library Specialist

Document Delivery Support

-check document orders for completeness in an automated document delivery system
-verify bibliographic citations via online databases and the internet
-contact requestors for additional information
-code orders for billing purposes prior to send to document suppliers
-place orders with document suppliers when unable to provide from inhouse collections
-follow up on orders, customer queries, status checks, etc.

-receive fulfilled orders from document suppliers and close orders in system

Journal Support

-check in journals in online library catalog
-shelve journals, newspapers
-claim missing issues

Regulatory Submission Support

-place orders with document suppliers as needed for FDA submission
-coordinate/manage orders returned from document suppliers
-create formatted bibliography in Reference Manager
 Skills:-experience working in corporate or academic libraries
-experience working in an automated library environment
-ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
-excellent written and oral communication skills
-excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-familiarity with the Internet and desktop software
-familiarity with Medline, Embase databases and other online resources
-knowledge of Reference Manager
