Responsibilities include directing Purchasing of Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients (API), Excipients, components & closures, and Raw Materials including printed components, as well as procurement of capital items and other services. You will have direct responsibility for management of daily activities of at least 2 buyers purchasing goods and services at the annual value of $65MM.

 

Qualifications include a College Degree in Engineering or Material Management Sciences, minimum of 7 years supply procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry, minimum of 3 years managerial experience with budget responsibilities, and minimum of 3 years fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Must have excellent organizational and leadership skills, ability to effectively manage change and promote continuous improvement, ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels of the organization, and ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners. Other qualifications include skilled in problem solving techniques including the ability to work closely with peers and other departments to identify and solve complex technical, product and material related issues, proven track record in effective supplier management, contracts, team participation/leadership, and realized cost savings, proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and ERP methodology, and APICS, CPIM, or CPM certification preferred.
