The company which is easily accessible from DE, PA and New Jersey is looking for a Chemical Engineer with at least 7-10 years of experience managing a maintenance department in a pharmaceutical or chemical batch plant.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:§ Manage the maintenance expenses to within 10% of budget.  Notifies supervisoron maintenance expense having significant budget impact § Manage the preventive maintenance (PM) program following good practice andcGMP.  Continuously review program and work orders to ensure company is completing the appropriate level of preventative maintenance.  § Manage the Instrument Calibration Program following good practice and cGMP.Continuously review program and calibration records to ensure company iscompleting calibrations at the right frequency and instruments remain incalibration (CalMan).§ Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities.    Provides 24 hour mechanic and maintenance management coverage to the site, 7  days a week. § Manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work  order planning and scheduling, managing spare parts, purchase ordering, and  equipment historical files.  § Follows best practices by planning and scheduling 90% of all maintenance work.§ Manage work order backlog and recommend to management methods to reduce  backlog as necessary (contract, increase headcount, cancel low priority work).§ Plan, schedule and execute repairs and maintenance in close collaboration with  production and work priority to minimize plant downtime and maximize  equipment reliability.§ Review planned and closed work order reports to ensure work orders are not  closed until all work associated with a work order is complete. § Meets regularly with internal customers (production and other initiators of  maintenance work) to ensure maintenance provides timely services meeting all  expectations.§ Reviews mechanic’s work to ensure adequate quality and completeness.§ Responsible for the appropriate level of spares inventory. § Works closely to predict and prevent equipment failure.§ Provides the necessary mechanic training.§ Manages implementation and adherence to all applicable SHE and cGMP  regulations.
