Maintenance Mechanic III

Our dynamic growth continues to create exciting opportunities. We are currently hiring in the following area:
Maintenance Mechanic III
Summary:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and installation of all plant and lab mechanical, electrical, and control equipment in a pharmaceutical GMP environment. Uniform, safety shoes, and safety glasses must be worn, as well as additional specialized personal protective.
The schedule for this position is eight (8) hour days at our Devens Massachusetts facility. Weekend and other overtime work is required from time to time, as well as occasional work at our North Andover Massachusetts facility. Intermittent on-call availability may be required.
Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, and troubleshoot, all plant and lab mechanical, electrical, and control equipment. (pumps, transmitters, reactors, HVAC, gear boxes, piping systems, valves, chillers, blowers, mechanical seals, etc.)
· Perform trade functions such as plumbing, pipefitting, and welding
· Perform calibration, adjustment, and modification procedures for plant and lab process instrumentation
· Enter preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration data into a computerized maintenance management system, and actively use the sites’ computerized maintenance work order system (Calibration Manager)
· Perform duties according to GMP standards and internal Standard Operating Procedures
· Maintain inventory levels for maintenance, repair, and operation spare parts
· Work safely, injury free, and actively participate in improving department and plant safety performance.
· Openly give and receive feedback on safety performance to and from fellow employees
Requirements:
· Must be able to physically enter equipment, and confined areas for maintenance purposes
· Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and work from building roofs and heights
· Must be able to wear various types of respirators, protective clothing, and hearing protection
· Must be able to read and understand work orders containing maintenance directions and safety precautions
· Must be able to read and interpret sketches, diagrams, and blueprints
· Must be able to calculate various measurements using basic math skills
· Must be able to read, write, verbally communicate in English, and record results accurately
· Must have basic computer knowledge including skills for accurately entering data, e-mail, and office
Education / Experience:
High school diploma, equivalent, or a satisfactory work record (Associate degree or related trade certificate/license preferred)A minimum of 5-years related maintenance experience (pharmaceutical or chemical)Experience in a GMP environment preferred.Experience working in an environment that utilizes safety improvement processes, lock-out / tag-out, hot work, and other OSHA based programsFormal process control (DeltaV) and Computerized Maintenance System experienced preferred
