This position will be responsible for evaluating marketed and development stage product opportunities to increase sales and profit of the Company through global licensing and acquisition initiatives. Key activities include product assessments, market research, competitive intelligence, and asset evaluation.  Specifics duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

 Supports the achievement of overall Business Development objectives, strategies and tactics for growth of Axcan’s business.Contributes to multifunctional teams evaluating strategic business development initiatives. Performs financial and strategic analysis of business development opportunities.Networks with prospective partners to establish and reinforce Axcan’s position as the reference GI company.

 BS/BA required from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, MBA preferred.Minimum five years of pharmaceutical industry experience.Strategic understanding of the biotech and Pharma industry.Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.Financial analysis and valuation experience, including discounted cash flow analyses.Experience working in cross functional teams.Knowledge of commercial operations, research and development and regulatory processes.Ability to accommodate up to 40% travel.Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel.
