We're part of a team that's making a difference in the quality of people's lives.Think What's Possible.Partner with HR colleagues to manage compensation initiatives for business areas and/or functions of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp, with primary client support for a subset of the business unit.Provides input into the design of compensation programs, policies, procedures, practices, systems and reporting of key metrics. Communication and training of various Compensation programs is a critical component of this position, including designing and enhancing new and existing communications and training materials. Works with HR generalists and line management to evaluate compensation needs in the businesses supported and to ensure consistent application of Novartis "market-based compensation" program. Analyzes and presents design proposals to HR and management. Works with global compensation teams to standardize compensation processes and ensure consistency within global and local structures. Independently monitors and implements the application of compensation policies. Participates in and analyzes market surveys to determine salary trends and establish salary ranges. Attends industry compensation meetings to represent the Company. Evaluates emerging job functions which may be leading edge within the pharmaceutical industry. Prepares recommendations for executive hires and promotions. Provides guidance to HR functions on compensation polices and practices; and interprets local, state, and federal laws regulating salary practices.Qualifications7+ years compensation experience in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Global compensation, benefits, generalist or other HR experience desired, but not necessary. MBA, a plus. Strong analytical and technical compensation skills, presentation and training experience. Advanced project management and successful program implementation experience required. Knowledge of Peoplesoft, and MS Access desirable.
