Neutrogena Corporation is seeking a Manager, Distribution Services at our Los Angeles, CA facility to improve customer service and inventory position by driving distribution efficiency and reducing cycle-time/supply variability within the Distribution Network. This individual will support the development and monitoring of space and physical distribution requirements and cost from the Warehouse to the Distribution Centers. This individual will oversee daily tactical responsibilities, as well as strategic initiatives and reporting accountabilities. The Manager, Distribution Services will act as a liaison between Exel, the Sales and Logistics Company, the Global Transportation Organization and Neutrogena to develop projects supporting the reduction of inventory and total distribution costs, and drive customer services improvements. This individual will manage the distribution group that is responsible for ensuring timely delivery and inbounding of Finished Goods (FG) from manufacturing sites. This individual will identify, classify and manage total inventory in addition to identifying root causes of Customer Service and SLOB and initiating programs to eliminate non-conformances. The Manager, Distribution Services will serve as a partner with transportation and distribution to drive inefficiency out of the supply chain, including participating on the Customer Sector SLOB reduction team to drive local results. This individual will ensure compliance with worldwide procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This individual will also develop distribution cost drivers, models and controls. Additionally, the Manager, Distribution Services will demonstrate thorough understanding of Neutrogena's practices and policies, Exel and SLC systems interface and Standard Operating Procedures. This candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree. A MBA is preferred. A degree with a Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred. It is required that the candidate has at least 5 years of business experience. This candidate must have at least 3 years of related work experience in operations, consumer products, or related field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Project Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Customer Support, Contract Management, Materials Management). Working knowledge of SAP and/or Manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Experience with a Warehouse Management System would be a plus. Knowledge of MS Office, including MS Excel and PowerPoint applications is required. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training, and/or certification is preferred. The qualified candidate will have strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication, and presentation skills. This candidate will demonstrate strength in interdependent partnering and team management. This candidate will be a self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a matrix environment besides possessing the ability to manage difficult issues and implement positive change is required. Negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to effectively manage projects and timelines to meet schedules is required. This person may be required to travel up to 10% domestically and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
