Manager, Health Care Vendor Management - (Job Number: 0806219) DescriptionJohnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manager, Health Care Vendor Management, located in New Brunswick, NJ. The Manager, Health Care Vendor Management will develop, implement and manage various Company sponsored health care programs. This individual will supervise a staff (2 - 4) and manage outside vendors in regards to health care programs. This is a hands on management position, including daily operations and vendor management, the development and measurement of performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives. This role will assist in the design and development of cost effective health care programs that align with the Company's philosophy of providing highly competitive programs for employees, retirees and their families. Monitor the competitive marketplace to ensure awareness of competitive benefit levels, best practices, trends, new developments and initiatives. This includes analyzing such data and recommending changes to Management, as well as internal and external business partners as appropriate. Responsible for overall vendor management, including implementations, which means ensuring the ongoing administration of all assigned plans/programs is managed in accordance with contracts, performance standards, program policies, procedures, etc. Keeping appraised of all federal, state and local benefit laws and regulations, including ERISA reporting and disclosure requirements, HIPAA and DOL, to ensure compliance of all applicable benefit programs. Providing technical support (i.e., Subject Matter Expert) to internal and external groups, Operating Companies, Payroll and Finance in the administration, interpretation and communication of benefit programs and related business opportunities. Assisting in the evaluation and selection of consultants, vendors and other business partners. Negotiating and contracting with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration. Supporting acquisitions and divestitures by serving as a benefits subject matter expert, providing needed input and analysis to applicable parties. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of direct oversight of benefits programs for a mid to large national employer/organization is required. Strong functional expertise in health benefits design and administration is required. Experience managing benefit vendors with in-depth knowledge and understanding of vendors' operations, processes, policies and procedures and the ability to read and interpret contracts and administrative service agreements are required. Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to think logically, factually and critically. The ideal candidate will be self-directed with the ability to work independently, as well as with groups and have bottom-line results orientation. Strong software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet are required. Must have highly developed organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work as well as multi-task. Extensive benefit plan/program implementation skills and experience is required. Must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to sustain superior performance in a detail-oriented, fast-paced, time deadline driven environment. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable in group presentations and negotiations. Strong supervisory and project management skills with experience on large, complex projects are required. Strong negotiating and interpersonal skills/ability to interact effectively both internally and externally at all levels are also required. 10% Domestic travel is required.
