RelationshipsReports To: Director Directly Supervises: IISS Specialists, IISS Associates, Data Administrators, and Data Assistants.Works Closely with: IISS Strategists, IISS Database Manager, Feasibility, SSU, and PRSG Managers, Project Managers, Clinical Leads.External Relationships: Sponsors, Site Management Organizations, Site StaffKey Accountabilities' Recruit and retain IISS staff' Manage the performance, development and growth of IISS team' Ensure direct reports meet and aim to exceed their personal goals and objectives by developing appropriate orientation/induction, performance review and development plans for all direct reports.' Train and provide direction to staff. ' Complete the formal review processes (e.g. performance and salary reviews) to Corporate standards and timescales' Appropriately reward and recognize team members' Review staff work for quality, including project tracking and adherence to SOPs and guidelines.' Maintain team metrics and work to continually improve the site identification and selection process.' Assign staff appropriately to projects and maintain resource tracking. Maintain an agreed upon level of productivity/billability and staff turnover.' Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the staff in an open, balanced and objective manner' Oversee and coordinate site identification and recruitment activities with internal and external customers' Serve as an ongoing liaison with project team, sponsor and management regarding the site identification and prequalification process' Act as an IISS Team Lead on billable projects' Oversee IISS team project status reporting and ensure proper execution of site recruitment, as appropriate. ' Manage issue escalation as necessary.' Quantify and document project out of scope work.' Maintain a working knowledge of, and assure compliance with, applicable ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, and PAREXEL WSOPs.' Participate in Clinical Operations meetings and training initiatives, project team meetings, and maintain relationships with other departments, clients. Education: 4-year college degree or relevant clinical or business equivalent. Minimum Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years work experience, two of which have been involved in site selection, study start-up work, and/or clinical site monitoring.Skills' Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate direct reports.' Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communications which requires the accurate perception of speech' Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.' Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.' Ability to role model behaviors and ethics in line with PAREXEL Mission, Vision and Values.' Client focused approach to work.' A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.'
