Manager, Legal Affairs - Pharmacy Specialist

We are currently seeking a Manager, Legal Affairs - Pharmacy Specialist in our Horsham, PA facility. Responsibilities: Manage the patent clearance activities and the development of patent clearance opinions by outside counsel in support of various products developed for Teva North America, including business development ventures and projects coordinated by Alliance Management. Manage the activities related to the development of patent clearance opinions with a specific concentration on the clearance of injectable products. Provide support to the patent clearance activities and the development of patent clearance by other patent groups. Work with Regulatory Affairs and with outside counsel to obtain patent clearance for Teva labeling and product monographs on a timely basis. Provide pharmaceutical assessment of products in support of product liability insurance requirements and their quarterly review. Provide on-going review of pharmaceutical literature for competitive intelligence and risk assessments. Monitor and survey brand life cycle management efforts as they relate to product in the Teva pipeline. Provide expertise and support to the preliminary patent classification activities for Teva North America Manage the development of a growing patent practice in Latin America. Qualifications: Educational Requirements: Graduate Degree in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology or Pharmacy (a combination of education and relevant job experience will be considered) Job Qualifications: 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry 3+ years of experience familiarity with drug labeling and ability to comprehend and propose acceptable FDA and Canadian (HPB) labeling changes. Understanding of the complexity of patent exclusivity desired Demonstrated ability to manage a process from start to finish Strong proven project management experience Understanding of the working interface between functional departments within a pharmaceutical corporation Understanding of the API sourcing process and related patent clearance requirements 4+ years experience with MS Excel Working knowledge of and familiarity with Lotus Notes preferred To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE
