The company's mission is to create the pre-eminent model of scientific excellence in the promotion of public health The Manager, Medical Communications (Internal Medicine) serves as the contact for provision of medical information in support of operating company initiatives. This product knowledge expert develops medical information tools, conducts training sessions for scientific knowledge and is responsible for reviewing documents for medical accuracy. The manager handles escalated scientific inquiries -applies scientific and therapeutic area knowledge to respond to escalated, non-standard, and after hours medical information inquiries. As technical expert, the manager participates in departmental project teams and manages selected Medical Communications vendor projects - especially as it pertains to oversight of clinical reply creation and dossier development. Precepting Fellows/Students and training new hires may also be required. A minimum of a BA/BS in Pharmacy is required.An MA/MS/MBA, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other doctorate level health professional (with current state license) is preferred. A minimum of 3 with clinical and/or medical information experience is required. BCPS certification and/or completed Pharmacy Medical Information residency/fellowship highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to conduct literature analysis; experience developing responses to scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers; deep understanding of pharmaceutical products and OMJSA supported therapeutic areas.Project management skills; ability to facilitate and teach; external customer focus; demonstrated analytical and evaluative skills.
