Manager Medical Science Specialist - (Job Number: 0805401) DescriptionOrtho Neutrogena, Division of Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Manager Medical Science Specialist - to be located in New Jersey. The primary focus of this position will be EU clinical and business support. The Manager Medical Science Specialist (MMSS) is responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with healthcare professionals and professional/patient organizations. The MMSS provides scientific, technical and pharmacoeconomic information to OrthoNeutrogena's key customers. The incumbent initiates and maintains relationships to increase awareness of company's products by designing, developing and delivering effective presentations and by coordinating symposia and continuing education seminars. May manage site screening(s) and evaluation(s) for potential clinical trials for company products and provide feedback to Clinical Development. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: participate as a key member of the team, provide key inputs into Business Development opportunities as well as leadership at meetings, assist in speaker development programs, assist in leading advisory panels, and support company and brand strategic imperatives. The MMSS will also facilitate the collaboration with Marketing, Clinical, Medical Communications, and other functional areas to create a programs and tools that differentiate our products from the professional's perspective as well as lead Medical Science Liaisons in their relationships with physicians and coordinating Investigator Initiated Trials. A minimum of a Masters Degree, Graduate degree or a Professional degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, MD, Nursing) is required for this role. Candidate must have at least 5 years of Pharmaceutical and/or Academic experience. Familiarity and experience with Dermatology products is also required. Extensive knowledge of aesthetic beauty products is highly preferred. Exposure to pharmaceutical and/ or medical device industry interactions through leadership development is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for the position. 80% domestic travel and international travel is required.
