Job Description Manager, Sales Training Position Summary: Strategy Define a sales training strategy that integrates with the divisional goal tree and supports development to a best-in-class selling organization, Strategy should include the four levels of evaluation for the training programs.  (course evaluations, assessment, application, and results that impact the bottom line)  Measure the effectiveness of the OD and training interventions against bottom line results. Develop a tracking mechanism, incorporating existing technology, to benchmark the sales organization and track accomplishments as well as effectiveness of training programs Utilize existing performance tracking mechanisms and feedback such as the Employer of Choice data/Talent Allegiance Score (TAS) and performance feedback to determine the critical training needs of the organization and prioritize accordingly.  Develop and implement appropriate training programs or developmental actions to address. Develop leadership skills and improved career path movement through structured course programs and materials Using the existing sales process, identify and implement the best training methodology that supports all aspects of the process.  Use this methodology as a foundation for training for the various band levels. Leveraging thermofisheru.com where possible, develop an accessible library of programs and content for quick reference by the sales organization Training Define courses and content to be presented; work with third party content creator as appropriate on programs developed and conducted “in house”; conduct training programs as necessary/appropriate. Build and manage third party vendor relationships where applicable, sometimes in concert with Thermo Fisher University Coordinate with Human Resources and Thermo Fisher University to maximize training programs Evaluate existing courses, pillars of sales training, and make recommendations for improvement in order to maximize the value of the programs to the selling organization Act as a liaison between Sales Force and internal functions to coordinate and maximize training sessions Create and implement a formalized mentor program for the sales organization Develop a coaching and reinforcement program for the sales managersBachelors degree or equivalent in sciences, business, or organizational development Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation skills); prior experience conducting adult-level training a plus Demonstrated leadership traits and 4-I values (integrity, intensity, innovation and involvement) An ability to work effectively within a matrixed environment Solid planning and analysis skills Ability to travel in peak periods.Education: BachelorsJob Level: Manager
