Job ID: KS08-10 Position Title: Manager/Sr. Manager, Professional Information ServicesWorking Location: TN, Bristol - Corporate OfficeEmployment Status: Full-TimeRequired Experience: 4 yearsRequired Education: Doctorate DegreeTravel Required: NoJob Description:The incumbent will manage the activities for delivery of medical information to health care professionals, internal associates, and consumers, and assure that delivery is completed in a professional and timely manner. Activities that limit corporate liability by meeting the medical, ethical, and legal responsibilities of providing product related drug information. Represent Medical Affairs on the Corporate Compliance Committee (CCC), providing medical review of product related materials. Will prepare/provide guidance for the preparation of all written materials used for response to inquires regarding all King, marketed products and research compounds. Report weekly activities to the senior director. Recommends changes to policy and procedures affecting the department.The essential duties of this position include but are not limited to:Marketed products• Manage the receipt, documentation and response to incoming information requests from the medical community, representatives, and consumers. • Prepare/provide guidance for preparation of standard responses to recurring questions for entry into IRMS.• Assist with goal of ensuring that all incoming calls are responded to within 1 hour by telephone and with 2 days by written correspondence.• Represent Medical Affairs on the Corporate Compliance Committee (CCC), providing medical review of product related materials for assigned products.• Manage IRMS as a resource for the Professional Information Services TeamResearch compounds• Assist with gathering of data as released for development of medical information responses.Additional Medical Affairs Activities• Prepare / provide product related training to Sales Representatives, Clinical Investigators, Speakers, and the medical community, as requested.• Maintain current awareness of published literature, regulations, guidelines, procedures, and practices and report changes to the Manager. • Provide support to other departmental managers in their representation of Medical Affairs and provide support, technical information and advice to other departments, where appropriate.• Provide a climate within Professional Information Services that conforms with the aims of King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and promotes cooperative, productive, and innovative excellence through general leadership.• Encourage the collaboration of the Medical Affairs function within the King organization to ensure attainment of corporate objectivesEssential Skills:Must hold a Doctoral degree (PharmD) or equivalent with four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience..
