Products are marketed through four divisions: Ethicon Products for precise wound closure and tissue repair; Ethicon Women's Health & Urology for minimally invasive women's health procedures; and Johnson & Johnson Wound Management for hemostasis and advanced wound care. Ethicon, Inc. is recruiting a Manager of Operations & Process Engineering whose primary responsibility is to serve as Operations leader to develop a supply chain in support of clinical trial devices as well as commercial applications for the Johnson & Johnson Internal Ventures (JJIV) Selective Nerve Stimulation (SNS) patch device. This individual will establish processes as needed to support pilot operations for small Internal Venture team. This individual will drive selection of manufacturing supply chain to support both pilot volumes and commercial production of devices. The Manager of Operations & Process Engineering will act as primary interface between design teams and third party manufacturing houses. Additionally, this individual will implement and provide support to pilot operations processes and design control at third party development and manufacturing suppliers in support of low volume clinical trial device production involving electronic and adhesive components. This individual is responsible for Design for Manufacture (DFM) throughout design process for both clinical trial devices as well as commercial device design and will develop and implement cost models for project development, manufacturing implementation, and Cost of Goods (COGs). This candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree. A MBA is preferred. A degree in Engineering or related field is also preferred. A minimum of 7 years of business experience is required. Experience with Medical Devices and knowledge of design and process control is required. Experience in adhesive converting processes and manufacturing is preferred. Experience in a start-up environment is preferred. Experience in Neuromodulation and electronics manufacturing is preferred. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, Training and/or Certification is preferred. Lean Manufacturing experience is also preferred. PMP Certification is also preferred. Project Management experience is required. Experience working with external suppliers is highly preferred. This candidate must have an understanding of GMP's. CAD experience is preferred. Experience with ISO standards is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, strategic thinking and project management skills are required. This candidate will have demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills and a superior understanding of process engineering techniques and practices. This candidate will be based in Somerville, NJ and may be required to travel up to 40% of the time Domestically and Internationally.
