Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Device (KA)

Position Specific Requirements:Supports the production department by coordinating engineering functions for medical devices. Modify and improve existing equipment.  Improve manufacturing efficiency, production yields, product quality and consistency through equipment and product design modifications and fabrication.  Finalizes manufacturing methods for medical devices. Assist with processing ECO's. Supports production and manufacturing.Analyzes and documents test results for development and pilot production runs.Participate in tooling maintenance and upgrades.Assist with manufacturing methods and their transfer into production.Engineering support which includes; vendor contact and auditing specification.Develops and tests components and assemblies of manufacturers products.Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


BS Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Science with a minimum of five years, or MS Degree with at least two years of direct experience as a Formulations Scientist.  Knowledge of medical implant science and combination products is preferred.  Working knowledge of medical device design, development, and evaluation is a plus.  Attention to detail and good follow through skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.  Ability to work independently, interact and communicate with coworkers, and willingness to interact with professionals outside of the organization.
