Position Description:

Job duties include but are not limited to:• Perform System power-up process, using various computer applications such as Lab view and other similar application• Record data using MS excel and or similar applications• Troubleshoot to component leave of PCBs and electromechanical assemblies• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics of computer networks• Perform assembly on piece parts into completed Sub-assembly using typical assembly tools such as screw drivers, wire crimping tools, and small wrenches• Perform bench processes to complete mechanical, electrical and optical assemblies using hand tools, electronic and pneumatic tooling• Perform test, alignment & verification of Life Sciences instruments• Perform assembly of sub components into a system using precision handling techniques to locate proper configuration• Identify and report non-conforming components both in writing and verbally to supervisor• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times with minimum supervision• Perform various operation using MS XP operating systems• Maintain a clean and orderly work areaEducation and Experience:• Competent in the use of common electronic troubleshooting tools• Demonstrated working knowledge of computer networking• High School or equivalent A.A./Bachelor's in relevant field preferred• Minimum of 4 years experience in assembly operations• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal• Solid computer skills• Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics and BOMs
