Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., provides in vitro diagnostic products to hospital, commercial and clinical laboratories, and blood donor centers. Its products include reagents and instrument systems used in blood typing and donor testing; clinical chemistry determinations and immunoassays for disease diagnosis and therapy management; as well as RhoGAM, an injectable drug used to prevent hemolytic disease of the newborn. The specific responsibilities include: This position will work closely with key functional partners (Evidence Based Medicine, Franchise Development, R&D Develop, communicate and execute Market Development strategies and plans. Understand the unmet needs and shape a compelling value proposition for all key stakeholders (clinicians, patients, payors). Keep up to date knowledge of key disease areas (evolving standard of care, new markers or tests available, competitive strategies. The individual will report directly to the Director of Market Development. BA/BS in Marketing or a related business field is required. MBA is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of progressive marketing and/or sales experience in the Healthcare industry is required. Science background or knowledge of key therapeutic areas is strongly preferred. Prior budgetary experience is required. Strong financial background is highly desired. Candidates must have outstanding communication and negotiation skills, be able to work in a team, matrix environment and be customer/market oriented. Demonstrated ability to work in an evolving environment is required. Financial analysis and business case development is required. Experience in Customer feedback tools, market research, focus groups, and interviewing is preferred. Understanding of key disease areas is strongly preferred.
