Marketing Director

Our office is located in Freehold, New Jersey, with easy access from the Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike, Routes 9 and 18.
We have an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing to lead the team in providing strategic direction as well as first class support to field sales and a national customer base. We are seeking a professional who is creative, organized, has the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and keep up with our quick pace. There are extensive interactions with field sales, retail and third party customers, key internal, support departments and suppliers. Individual must possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team..
Responsibilities:
Customer Management:
Attend key sales meetings with national customers
Set strategy for marketing communication with customers
Provide leadership at trade shows
Sales Support:
Oversee development and execution of customer based marketing plans
Work with field sales to set growth strategies for both new and existing customers
Supervise analysis of customers, marketplace and competition
Support business development team with special projects
Marketing Team Management:
Lead marketing team in the execution of customer-based initiatives:
Promotional plans
New Product launches
Packaging development
Bidding on new business
Set direction and oversee activities of the Freehold marketing team
Direct workflow
Develop skill set of team members
Internal Coordination:
Communicate sales and customer needs to internal staff and cross-functional teams
Provide input into the sales forecasting system to ensure accuracy
Participate in process development teams
Assist in identification and implementation of cost savings opportunities
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing and 8 to 10 years of marketing experience including at least 5 years of national management experience. In addition we are looking for someone with the following:
Branding and/or retail marketing experience required and knowledge of OTC/vitamins and supplements is a plus.
Strong project management, presentation, and communication skills
Superior pc skills
Ability to travel to trade shows and major customer meetings.
