Our Renal Division ($2 billion in sales) is a global leader in developing, manufacturing and marketing dialysis products designed to serve healthcare professionals and their patients. We're a leading manufacturer of products for Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), a home therapy for people with end-stage renal disease, or irreversible kidney failure. Our products include a range of PD solutions and related supplies to help patients safely perform solution exchanges as well as automated PD cyclers that perform solution exchanges for patients overnight while they sleep. Baxter also distributes instruments and disposables, including dialyzers, for Hemodialysis (HD), kidney dialysis that is generally conducted in a hospital or clinic. The role of Group Marketing Manager, U.S. Reimbursement will be responsible for managing and driving United States health economics strategies, tactics, and implementations in support of access, pricing, and reimbursement for Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), Home Hemodialysis (HHD), Hemodialysis (HD), along with other new technologies and therapies. This individual will: --Provide strategic support in the development and implementation of health economic strategies and tactics to support business objective of maximizing reimbursement. -- Assist in the development of cost effectiveness arguments --Manage, write, and review technical abstracts and manuscripts. --Work with internal adjacent business units and external customers to develop effective economic and reimbursement information. Deliver this information to key constituents including public policy makers, healthcare executives, and physicians. --Manage economic and research data, identify and analyze various databases (such as registry databases, claims databases, clinical trial databases) for publications, messaging, and other marketing and sales uses. --Provide advice and support necessary for optimal communication of health economic information to the U.S. sales team. --Ability to assume a lead role with various department initiatives as directed. --Practical business application of product and therapy economics. This will include data evaluation, synthesis and analysis of market information to create favorable evidence of renal products, therapies and services. --Work with the sales and marketing organizations to develop training programs for incorporating economic messages into product detailing in support of the achievement of sales goals and objectives. A Master's Degree and/or PhD in healthcare fields, such as Health Economics or Healthcare Management is required. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in areas such as Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Provider Organizations, or Healthcare Insurance is also highly desired. Candidates must possess an understanding of the U.S. healthcare reimbursement system (renal reimbursement preferred), including Medicare and the private insurance sector. This individual must have the ability to deliver effective presentations and possess strong communication skills to persuade a wide range of internal and external audiences, such as Sales and Marketing, Corporate Management, Government Legislators, Policy Makers and Medical Directors. A publication history in peer-reviewed format is desirable. Our chosen candidate will have a good quantitative and analytic background. This person will have the ability to work in a large-matrix work environment with increasing responsibilities and job duties. Other preferred prerequisites include proficiency with MSWord and PowerPoint.
