The company has over 2,200 employees in the Bay Area, dedicated to every aspect of biotechnology- research, development, manufacturing and commercialization.The Master Planner is responsible for developing and managing the execution of the Production Plan and Master Production Schedule for bulk and fill/finish operations. The Plan and the MPS are the bases upon which material and labor resources are focused in order to achieve the Business/Sales Plan.q For bulk and fill/finish operations, takes ownership for maintaining appropriate levels of supply to meet demand plans.q Creation and maintenance of the Production Plan and MPS for bulk and fill/finish operations.q Ensures applicable coverage of finished goods inventories to meet established targets.q Ensures applicable coverage of API and bulk products to meet manufacturing and packaging plans.q Ensures Working Capital targets are met for inventory. Targets set by manager.q Ensures stability of the MPS. q Ensures MPS is feasible and effective.q Ensures plan is communicated to operating departments.q Ensures plan deviations are communicated to BioPharma Operations management and Product Marketing.Key Performance Indicators (associated with the Major Accountabilities)q Customer Service Levels.q Number and duration of backorders.q Inventory levels in months of coverage and value.q MPS Stabilityq Schedule conformance.q Lead Time adherenceq Net Requirement Accuracyq ObsolescencePosition Requirements:Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related disciplines.APICS certification desired.Experience: 3-5+ years planning experience in a Manufacturing/Production/Pharmaceutical environment. Experience working in a cGMP environment desirable.Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing principles and practices desirable.Competencies requiredSupply Chain Principles - extensive knowledge and understanding of Sales & Operations Management (S&OP) concepts and Materials Management principles such as (but not limited to) MPS, MRP, CRP, DRP, SFC, purchasing, distribution, import/export, transportation, etc.Pharmaceutical Production – knowledge of pharmaceutical operations and industry practices.Finance - working capital.Pharmaceutical GMPs – strong knowledge of good manufacturing practices..
