Material Handler (Job Requisition 0781)

Summary

Materials Management is looking for an individual to be responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, and supplies.

 

Duties

Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items as necessary. Lifts heavy items and will operate a forklift. Examines, stocks and distributes materials to inventory and manufacturing lines. Incumbent will provide support in glass wash operations. All work will be performed under cGMP/GxP and following SOP’s.

 

Incumbent will apply his/her job skills and company’s policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks performed under cGMP/GxP. He/She will work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. He/She will normally receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

 

Requirements

 Must have at least 2 years related experience.Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and MRP required.Must be organized, customer focused, possess good communication skills and have the ability to multitask.Prior fork-lift experience required.Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs is required.Must be reliable, with a stable work history.APICS education strongly preferred.Prior experience performing similar duties in a GMP manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
