Materials Clearance Engineering Technician

The candidate will be completing the paperwork and documentation for the materials clearance process.  The candidate will obtain materials of construction information (communication with vendor, catalog/ manual, Internet, cut sheets etc.) to verify materials against approved MC database, prepare paperwork for items found to consist of approved materials, and prepare paperwork for materials that need full MC evaluation and testing. In addition, the candidate should have excellent organizational skills to effectively perform the job requirements.

Requires an Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Maintenance or relevant technical field and 3 to 5 years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with manufacturing and plant operations and equipment.  Great attention to detail, good organizational skills and solid networking skills to communicate and coordinate with vendors and engineers.  Candidate must have a good working knowledge of mechanical parts and equipment.

This is a long-term 14 month contract position with a growing pharmaceutical company, that may lead to other opportunities down the road.  The position includes 9 paid holidays every year and 40 hours of vacation time during the 1st year and 80 hours each year after that.  In addition, Belcan offers a full medical and dental benefits package in which contractors may enroll at their own cost.
