By applying for a position with Genzyme, you are taking the first step toward becoming a part of our dynamic and talented team, and hopefully sharing in our continued success.Job Title: Materials Manager IIJob Responsibilities/Department description:•Manages a group of employees focused on one or more areas of material purchase, material control, and/or inventory control. •Develops work plans and establishes organizational direction. •Oversees materials and material control programs; develops and recommends new programs to higher-level management staff.•Develops material schedules and ensures the effective movement of materials throughout the company. •Interfaces throughout the company to understand and identify possible solutions to material or inventory problems. •Ensures programs are current with regard to compliance regulations, practices, and costs. Implements global supply chain strategies.Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years work experience ORMasters Degree (Supply Chain) with 5+ years work experience•Minimum 3 years experience leading a product supply chain•Working knowledge of ERP systems•Minimum of 3 years of experience with MS Office Applications, MS Project (or other project management software), MS Visio, MS Access, and with an ERP System Preferred Qualifications:•Experience with QAD preferred.Additional Information:Travel Percentage: 5%
