Medical Device Sales - Associate level - Great entry opportunity in the neuromodulation industry.
The ideal candidate will reside in Sacramento Metro.
Territory cover will include: Sacramento, Las Vegas, Reno, Northern CA and San Francisco.
Cyberonics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CYBX) pioneered the Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS Therapy™) System. Founded in 1987 to design, develop and market implantable medical devices for the treatment of epilepsy and other debilitating neurological disorders, Cyberonics has emerged as a leader in the neuromodulation industry.
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
This position is responsible for assisting in achieving the sales expectations of the assigned territory. Success is realized by building strong customer relationships, conducting consultative sales calls, utilizing solid product/technical knowledge, following a targeted call plan, and developing a solid territory plan in conjunction with the assigned Therapeutic Consultant. The keys to success listed here will lead to identified candidates for VNS, which this person will need to educate and assist through the various phases to implant. This position is also responsible for the selling product into hospitals and supporting surgical cases where appropriate.
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
• Assist with sales objectives and be accountable daily for territory.
• Conduct consultative sales calls on neurologists, leading to patient identifications.
• Create surgical capacity appropriate for patient demand.
• Carryout solid territory business plans in a short sales cycle/quota-based system.
• Educate patients and pull them through to implant.
• Utilize case management and the PRM process to aid in pull-through
• Build solid customer relationships.
• Demonstrate outstanding product knowledge.
• Implement routing/targeted call plan.
• Complete administrative requirements on time and accurately.
• Maintain company standards involving ethical and moral character while professionally representing the company.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• This position may require extensive business travel of 40% or more of the time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• BS/BA degree, preferably in life sciences, nursing, allied health, or business
• Minimum 0 to 2 years of selling experience, preferably in a medical field, where daily accountabilities are established, measured and rewarded
• Demonstrated aptitude and success in fostering solid relationships, and a capacity for interacting with patients in a clinical environment
• Strong work ethic, with a resilient results orientation
• Solid process orientation and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Intellectual capacity to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements
• Self starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously
• Robust interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Creative thinker and risk taker
