Medical Writer

My client an excellent Medical communication company in the local Philadelphia suburbs is actively seeking an experienced Medical Writer.     Medical writing experience including but not limited too the following: original and review manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, executive summaries, and publication plans for disciplines such as oncology, menopause, pain management, immunology, hematology, diabetes, cardiovascular, and CNS are also of interest.  

 

Experience assimilating safety and efficacy data from clinical study reports is desired along with strong communication skills.  Experience working directly with pharmaceutical company medical personnel and key opinion leaders (KOL’s) while developing written documents/presentations and advisory boards.  Strong computer skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).  A PhD, MD or Pharm D degree is required along with ideally one or more years of writing experience in the industry. 

 

Opportunities are currently available in the local Philadelphia Suburbs, the Princeton NJ area as well as Northern NJ and New York City. 

 

Requirements:

All candidates qualifying for consideration will have a PhD, MD or Pharm D degree (exceptions for candidates with several years of industry medical writing experience will be considered on an individual basis).  Applicants must be well-organized, able to meet tight deadlines, detail-oriented and a team player. All positions will exhibit an understanding of AMA writing standards. Print and web based experience are a plus.

 

Junior candidates will have a PhD/MD or Pharm D degree in a Life Sciences Discipline, publication and writing experience through research, post doc and/or schooling.  (Recent grads finishing a Post Doctoral Fellowship, clinical experience, or bench work within the last 5 years). 

Mid-Sr Level candidates will have the advanced degree PhD/MD/Pharm D with 2+ years of industry experience.
