Yoh Scientific has a contract opening for a Medicinal Chemist in the Waltham, MA area. Our customer is a global pharmaceutical firm engaged in the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of products worldwide. 

Description
• Conceive and plan efficient synthetic routes to molecules of interest.
• Design laboratory experiments.
• Establish priorities and coordinates work schedules in agreement with program priorities.
• Carry out synthetic reactions toward target molecules.
• Utilize appropriate state-of-the-art techniques for isolating and characterizing products.
• Develop synthetic methods as needed.
• Keep detailed laboratory notebook and cross-referenced data files.
• Maintain records of ideas and initial conceptions of inventions.
• Develop understanding of medical chemistry and relevant biochemical disciplines with particular emphasis on area of research.
• Keep supervisor informed of status of work through oral reports.
• Establish and maintain detailed knowledge of literature related to areas of research.
• Provide consulting service in fields of expertise for area personnel with R&D.

Minimum Requirements
• BS/MS in Chemistry or related field. 
• Medicinal Chemistry experience required.
• Pharmaceutical experience desired but not required.
