Forest offers competitive salaries, progressive benefits programs and a supportive work environment that thrives on teamwork.  The following position is available in our growing Pharmaceutical Research & Development Division in Long Island, NY: Metrology Specialist- HPLC Qualification and Preventative Maintenance Engineer Research & Development Job  ID #89171 Commack, NY  Description of Duties and Responsibilities:We are looking for qualified individuals who will be maintaining, servicing and qualifying/calibrating Perkin Elmer HPLC, GC and UV systems in a GxP Laboratory environment. · The ideal candidate will have experience in Metrology and/or supporting the overall service, Preventative Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.  · It is desirable that the candidate additionally have experience in writing SOPs (both general and instrument related), writing and developing Preventative Maintenance and qualification procedures for instrument. · Candidate should have a thorough working knowledge of utilization of various instrument data acquisition system Requirements:· BS/MS in a scientific discipline (Analytical Chemistry preferred) with 2-6 years relevant experience. · Numerous years of HPLC experience in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and qualification (specific experience in utilizing a combination of TotalChrom, Millennium and Empower Data Acquisition system s preferred). · An understanding of laboratory GxP requirements, SOP’s and instrument qualification protocols. · Certified training for Perkin Elmer HPLC qualification and PM or equivalent. · Strong communication and writing skills.   Forest offers generous compensation packages, comprehensive training programs, stock options and profit sharing, progressive benefits and a diverse and dynamic workplace.  Please note as your source in the text of your resume
