Works directly with executive and senior level management to determine project scope, priority, budget and resource requirements. Ensures processes are in place to meet deliverable quality standards as well as other regulatory (e.g. FDA, Sarbanes Oxley) requirements. Directs multiple concurrent complex internal and customer facing IT projects with budgets in excess of $5M and team sizes of 25 or more full time employees. Leads project activities of cross functional teams for large scale IT projects from assessment and planning through implementation and production support phases of the project. Directs strategic initiatives to establish IT priorities with the IT Governance Committee. Evaluates strategic initiatives by partnering with end users and end user management to develop project cost, resource, and timeline forecasts and high-level ROI estimates. Consults IT senior management on departmental management and organizational issues, tasks, and processes. Develops, mentors and coaches staff members on key areas of IT: customer service, financial performance, project management, change management, communications, operational performance and compliance. Performs related duties as assigned.QualificationsA minimum of ten (10) to fifteen (15) years related experience working with multi-functional groups or project teams, with at least three (3) years in a management role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of:" Project Management concepts and principles." Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements." Principles of Project Management and the Pharmaceutical Industry" Computer operations and software applications." Mathematical and statistical analyses." Data collection practices and procedures." English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation." Report writing and oral presentation.Skill in:" Planning and managing projects and portfolios of projects, defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending methods, procedures and/or techniques for resolution." Responding to common inquiries or complaints from project customers, regulatory agencies, of members of the business community." Presenting information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors." Applying advanced project management concepts and principles." Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work and with third party vendors/contractors."
