Mid West Regional Sales Manager for industrial ball valves, actuators anufacturer

Employment Profile:

 The company manufactures and supplies high quality industrial ball valves, actuators and related accessories to global markets. The company is a multi-national corporation operating in over 45 countries worldwide supplying sophisticated, high end products for industries where performance, quality and reliability are essential.

In order to address rapid sales growth in North America, The Company is seeking a Mid West Regional Sales Manager who will lead sales growth by actively selling company products in the respective Regional Sales Territories. The Regional Sales Manager is a key member of the company team with direct responsibility for the sales success of company products in the USA. As the responsibilities of this position will expand in conjunction with the growth in US sales, it represents a true growth opportunity.


Employment Location:

Each Regional Sales Manager will work from a home office, spending the majority of work time in the field. Preferred locations for respective Regional Sales Managers shall be:·  Mid West USA Regional Sales Manager preferred locations is Chicago metro area (other location can be consider)



Our Customers:

The company has been selling its products in the US since 1985 and its customers include major US corporations such as Pfizer, IDEC/Biogen, Intel, Dow Chemical, GSK, Nestle and many others. In order to expand its penetration in North America, The Company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager who will impact sales growth by actively selling company products in the respective territories. Primary industry target markets are:

Oil Refining, Energy, Offshore Drilling, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology,Chemical/Fine Chemical, Petrochemical, Food and beverage, Marine, Pulp and paper, Nuclear, Semiconductor

 

Responsibilities:

 

§ Develop and implement an annual regional sales plan in cooperation with company management.

§ Address all sales activities in the respective sales territory.

§ Evaluate existing distributors and aggressively recruit new distributors throughout the respective sales territory.

§ Call on existing distributors to identify their needs, present new products and programs and overall strengthen their relationship with The company leading to increased sales.

§ Conduct sales calls (together with distributor sales staff and independently) with engineering companies, end users and others, leading to product acceptance. Attempt to get The company products specified for new projects

· Plan and implement customer training seminars and programs such as “lunch and learn” events with engineers and technical support staff, leading to increased awareness for company products.

· Maintain and transmit status reports and provide real time access to the National Sales Manager.

· Interface with The Company’s North American inside sales offices and logistics center to facilitate order handling.

· Participate in industry trade shows.

· Collect market and competitive intelligence information and update company the National Sales Manager on key developments.

· Actively participate in regularly schedule sales meetings with US sales staff and sales distributors.


Requirements:

· Highly motivated, energetic and experienced sales professional, with the skills, commitment and ability to impact The company’s sales expansion

· A minimum of 4 years recent successful experience in a sales position with a manufacturer, distributor or representative agency selling high end valves, actuators and related products. Experience selling quarter turn valves is required.

· Active contacts in the respective sales region with industrial distributors and engineering companies selling and specifying vales and actuators.

· Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

· Ability to prepare and present customer oriented presentations and proposals to corporate executives and engineers.

· Technical background and understanding of valves and actuators. Basic familiarity with ASME-BPE standards would be very helpful.

· Experience working very independently in a fast moving, entrepreneurial organization.

· Background working in a multi-national company or environment would be helpful but is not required.

· Relevant college degree.

· Willingness to travel in the respective sales region.
