Molecular Biologist: Nucleic Acids

POSITION SUMMARY:

This person will lead a team of experienced scientists in developing nucleic acid applications. The Manager of Nucleic Acids will also be an integral part of customer relations and will interact with both potential and current customers in explaining the science and applications, as well as developing new applications through work and customer feedback.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Hands-on work with team to design, optimize and produce nucleic acid applications

• Work to incorporate customer requirements into products

• Serve as an integral part of product development & launch team

• Lead development of multidisciplinary teams, including biologists, engineers, chemists and software developers

• Present ideas and product to customers

• React and respond to customer inquiries and feedback

• Help plan development schedules and identify program risks.

• Other tasks as reasonably requested.

• Represent the company at key industry & scientific meetings

• Produce, and assist customer with, white papers for peer journal submission
QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Required:

• PhD in Biology

• Six to Ten years of experience with related functions

• At least three years experience in a leadership role

• Product Launch experience

• Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written
