Job Description Molecular Specialist Position Summary: The launch of Prima, Fisher Healthcare’s molecular diagnostics suite of products and services, includes sales support of existing Fisher Account Managers (AM) and Account Executives (AE) with Molecular Specialists (MS). The MS is responsible for working directly with the AM/AE to identify, develop and close new molecular opportunities, leveraging existing Fisher consolidated supplier value with a suite of novel molecular products that span the entire molecular testing continuum. The successful MS will establish productive relationships with Fisher’s molecular diagnostics suppliers, bringing to bear subject matter experts to pursuits with their assigned region. The successful MS will work closely with the District Sales Manager (DSM) to help drive focus on molecular pursuits. The MS will report directly to the Director of Marketing during the initial launch of Prima with an eventual transition to the sales organization. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: · Minimum Bachelors degree (Science ideal); Masters preferred (MBA, MPH, MS)· Minimum 7 years consultative selling with demonstrated track record of success· Demonstrated knowledge of molecular diagnostics (lab, research, life sciences, clinical) with ability to learn unique Fisher HealthCare molecular products and services· Prefer established network of molecular lab decision makers· Demonstrated ability to effectively produce in a multi-state territory (ideally in a specialist capacity)· Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) Essential Functions· Ability to credibly articulate value of Fisher HealthCare’s suite of molecular diagnostics products and services to customers (including clinicians, lab directors, administrators) · Ability to understand unique laboratory-specific circumstances, identify opportunity and effectively bring to bear Prima value· Ability to overcome obstacles, including product (eg, performance, validation), economic (eg. reimbursement), operations (eg. Arranging instrument demos) to result in closes· Ability to gain credibility of AM/AE/DSM in assigned region with command of molecular diagnostics· Ability to manage large geography, including extensive field travel (average 3 days overnight per week)· Exceptional organization skills· Manage all aspects of molecular diagnostics sales within assigned region· Responsible for generating pipeline and monthly forecast for all molecular products within assigned region· Provide field-based market intelligence, including competition, customer-specific data and trends· Strategize directly with AM/AE within assigned region, including proposal generation and pricing schemes· Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with PhD, Lab Director and Purchasing· Interface frequently with all Fisher molecular suppliers· Represent Fisher at key molecular conferences· Responsible for managing region within travel budget Skills and Abilities * Proven sales track record* Proven molecular diagnostics industry track record for securing new business* Proven abilities in the area of competitive account development* Manage directly and/or oversee overall customer-specific molecular sales process* Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base* Drive the development of strategies that will market the company as a nationwide / global competitor * Strong work ethic* Provide direction for the GPO regarding molecular diagnostics* Excellent presentation skills* Excellent interpersonal skills* Acquire knowledge to understand Fisher Health Care pricing and operational systemsEssential Hiring Criteria Required: Job Requirements* 7-10 Years sales experience, Medical Sales, Lab, Science, Health Care Industry preferred* Bachelor's degree, Science, Medical, Business or related field of study. * Advanced degree preferred* Strong executive sales experience* Project management experience within a team environment* Strong negotiation skills* Strong ability to develop and maintain customer relationships* Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel software / PC skills* Proven ability to 'close the deal'* Must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
