The Market Development Manager (MDM) will provide marketing expertise to support the growth and development of the Excipients (EXC) business group. This position requires the active participation in the strategic/tactical planning process and implementation of the EXC marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:
Set and implement regional EXC annual action plans consistent with SBU plan.
Drive the actions of the field force through the regional sales managers.
Increase the EXC pipeline and field force penetration.
Launch new products as applicable.
Identify, understand and translate regional EXC market trends
Interface with regional GM, sales and technical management.
Actively involved in the continuous training of the field force.
Requires 30-35%travel



Required Experience


Bachelors degree required in a technical (ie. chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical science) discipline and/or marketing field. MBA or MS preferred
Minimum 5 years experience in a pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing role
Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing core capabilities. Pharmaceutical formulation knowledge a plus
Excellent planning and project management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel 30-35%
