With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, we continue to advance science to serve patients.Territory Location: Dallas, TX / Louisville, KY / Chicago, ILReporting to the Executive Director, acts as an individual contributor accountable for business development at very large accounts, for all Therapeutic Areas (TA), that either are national, or that cover multiple regions and geographies. Develops and maintains long-term strategic partnerships with key customers by integrating mutual resources to achieve optimal outcomes.1. Ensure optimal access, coverage, and reimbursement to enable pull-through of Amgen programs to achieve sales objectives. Geography: nationalContacts: Matrix management across internal teams ' Marketing, Sr. Management, CAM's, National Account team, Sales RSDs and CA Senior Leadership must have knowledge and relationships with Managed Care market segmentation and product reimbursements.2. Fiscal management of pricing and contract management. Negotiate product and rebate agreements.3. Develop and executes account specific plan, eg. Establish reimbursement coverage/access for Amgen products within payer community.4.Drive and coordinate pull-through of any field-level programs through the Account team selling process5.Coordinate with Payor Segment Marketing and Brand Marketing to develop customer specific value added programs6. Maintain and grow key executive relationships within customer base.** Other functions may be assigned.Develops advanced concepts and techniques, solves very complex problems requiring high degree of ingenuity or innovation, work objectives are self-initiated, errors have major impact.Represents Amgen as prime internal and external contact on contracts and relationships with key national accounts. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for senior/top internal and external managementBasic Qualifications:BA/BS plus 12 years sales with increasing levels of experience OR MBA/MS plus 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales and/or marketing experience, including 3 years of account management.
