Position Overview:

As a Systems Administrator on the IT Services team your job duties will include implementation and management of the Altiris product suite and perform other systems related maintenance tasks as requested.

 

Requirements:Serve as the primary point of contact for design and deployment of the Altiris Notification Server and related technology. Work with IT teams to facilitate both configuration upgrades and new application installations; ensure effective project plans are in place to roll out upgrade and new operating systems and applications. Create and maintain technical documentation and configurations for application troubleshooting. Ensure business continuity through effective documentation that meets business standards. Address change needs prior to implementation, ensuring adequate system testing prior to new releases moving into production. Provide training to IT Operations on best practice use of the Altiris Suite.

 

Qualifications:3+ years experience in a Microsoft Windows network environment that is subject to external compliance regulations such as, but not limited to, Sarbanes Oxley or HIPAA. Exposure to SQL Server administration with experience developing SQL queries a plus Functional understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN. Demonstrable programming skills in any language including, but not limited to, VBScript, Jscript, Perl, C, C++, C#.

 

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience.
