Network Administrator II

In addition, this person provides technical direction for the Network and Desktop Support help desk and handles escalated customer issues. Major Ongoing Responsibilities:Responsible for specification, implementation, and operational responsibilities for network operations in a multi-site division including installation, oversight to meet standards, and issue resolution.  Other responsibilities include managing small to medium size projects, design and troubleshooting of n-tier applications on LAN/WAN, and coordination with IT teams and vendors for installation, operations and issue resolution. Experience and Training:· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.· Minimum of 6 years progressive information systems experience in a network administrator role for a corporate network environment. Previous experience in a 500+ user environment.· 2 years operational experience with NetApp Storage and SAN operations· 2 years operational experience with VMWare ESX Enterprise v3.0 to 3.5 and virtual infrastructure· 4 years experience with Cisco LAN switching and routing using 4500 Series switches and PIX firewall· Operational experience with Citrix Metaframe XP· 6 years of server operations focusing on Windows servers· Expert proficiency in network operations, TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, WINS, DMZ and VPN security· Microsoft certification is a plus· Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning.· Strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to learn more about information technology.
