This region will consist of NY, Western PA, OH, CT, MA, RI, ME, VT, and NH. Qualified candidates must reside within one of these states, as well as be able to travel as needed throughout this region. The responsibilities of the Technical Sales Director are as follows: The Technical Sales Director will be responsible for development and implementation of field based training programs and materials in support of strategic sales plan. Provide effective support of field based programs and targeted launch and focus product training programs. Create and implement training programs aligned with strategic sales priorities and new product introductions. Coordinate planning with headquarters training team and field sales management team to identify training requirements by product, territory, and/or selling/clinical skill. Facilitate and present in-house and field based training programs in regard to product, pathology, anatomy, technical and Integrity based selling skills. Create and organize all activities associated with conducting advanced surgical technique programs in region of responsibility. Develop protocol for follow-up training of all primary and secondary attendees. Coordinate all product launch activities with marketing to ensure a common message is delivered to field. Liaise with Director, Sales Education to investigate innovative training techniques based on field experience. Coordinate national Medical Education events in support of trainee selection and execute local events as approved by the Med Ed / Education Grant Committee, in accordance with Needs Based Assessments. Support the development and rollout of practice "toolboxes". Create and manage programs to ensure transfer of competitive field intelligence to Marketing organization. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers (sales management, marketing and product development personnel), Distributor organizations and surgeons. Minimum 6 to 8 years sales or marketing experience within an FDA regulated environment including a minimum of 2 years sales or marketing experience in a Spine company. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational, leadership and process skills, and strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of management. Demonstrated ability to effectively present technical information and training material to a large, diverse sales group. Ability to understand and effectively convey advanced Clinical information and orthopaedic concepts. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize/identify specific training needs and develop associated programs. Demonstrated ability to show innovation in developing sales training programs and materials.
