Metropolitan Research Associates is a full service CRO and clinical research staffing firm that offers expertise in all areas of clinical development for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries. We are looking for a Safety Associate for a direct-hire position in New York, NY.

 

Responsibilities Processes Serious Adverse Events resulting from clinical trials per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Obtains required clinically relevant information for SAE reporting from suppliers Actively obtains follow-up SAE information from clinical sites and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) including responding to queries Demonstrates expertise in AEM form completion Administration of SAE Reporting - enters data into Safety Database and internal tracking system Ensures data quality of reports, files, and databases Completes all work within acceptable quality standards and determined timelines Actively participates in continuous improvement processes Acts as a resource to project team members and contributes to overall team performance Attends interdepartmental team meetings Participates in appropriate training pertinent to performance Contributes to and leads special projects Assists in the orientation and mentoring of new staff Facilitates the flow of required clinical trial information Provides back-up to Manager including prioritizing work and supervising MRA team Reports directly to Case Processing Manager

 

Qualifications Will consider both nurses with their BSN and pharmacists Excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills Ability to work well under time constraints to meet reporting deadlines Strong analytical and organizational skills Demonstrates attention to detail Computer experience required-WORD, EXCEL, Outlook
