Job Description OEM Sales Manager Job Title: OEM Sales Manager (Industry)Business Unit: Commercial Sales FunctionDivision: Laboratory Consumable Division Territory: North AmericaPosition Base: Business travel efficient Eastern U.S.A. approved location Reports to:Director of Sales, Americas Job Summary: This position is responsible for management of diverse commercial growth initiatives in North America with primary duties oriented to driving OEM and Strategic Account revenue expansion for our Glass and Specialty Consumables business units. In addition, the commercial manager will assume leadership responsibilities for expanding business relationships with predetermined OEM and Strategic Accounts. The manager will work closely with multiple functions within the division to ensure that commercial tactics are well coordinated with the business units to achieve maximum operating efficiencies and profits. The individual fulfilling this role will have broad spectrum technical acumen with proven experience in developing new business through executive level client relations. Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities: Responsible for delivering consistent revenue growth with OEM products for assigned business units. Maintain strong relationships with existing OEM/Strategic clients and aggressively seek out new opportunities to expand the total OEM/Strategic account business base Develop and implement a detailed strategic plan that clearly defines commercial objectives. Routinely calibrate tactical activities with appropriate business unit managers to ensure that commercial actions are consistent with the business needs. Manage partner relations and growth strategies by utilizing a quarterly business planning review process. Manage a small team of commercial employees that will be grouped under the OEM and Strategic Accounts Manager’s leadership. Accountable for routine sales pipeline validation and communication of revenue attainment expectations Work harmoniously with business unit product development, product management and operational stakeholders to meet Thermo Fisher and client project commitments. Ensure that Thermo Fisher and customer financial metrics are achieved as agreed upon at project conception. Work closely with the division contract administrator to negotiate OEM contracts that are compliant with Thermo Fisher policy. Define OEM tradeshow strategies to accelerate growth potentials with the business units marketing team.Other Requirements: Travel estimated at 50% of time. Travel expectations include visits to customers, Thermo Fisher office’s and factories, trade shows, and sales meetings. Educational Qualifications: BS degree in Science, Business, or Engineering MBA PreferredExperience Qualifications: Substantiated track record in exceeding sales objectives and in developing OEM business Proven ability to sell creative solutions to high level customer personnel Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications skills Demonstrated ability to operate independently with initiative, objective attainment intensity, and solid business judgment Strong organizational and time management skills with good orientation to detail Strong technical, business, and financial acumen Highly effective negotiation skills Sophisticated level of computer proficiency Management Experience of employeesEducation: BachelorsJob Level: Manager
